Documentation Dilemma in the Virtual Classroom

The documentation of  learning is the act of capturing a learning process or a product of this process (e.g., digital image, transcript of a discussion, video recording, copies of drafts, assignments) for assessment purposes.  This  evidence of learning tells the story about the studentʻs thinking, decision-making, problem solving, strengths, and challenges along a learning journey unique to that child. There are obvious  challenges in the virtual classroom — not being able to observe learning in real time or the interactions among groups of students. This session brings teachers together to discuss innovative ways to document learning beginning with co-constructed criteria and having clear goals in mind.
