Working Beside the Parent as Co-Researcher
Never before has the Reggio Emilia view of the parent as the primary teacher been so critical as in the virtual environment. In the Reggio Approach, the teacher views teaching and learning as endless opportunities for research with the intent of understanding the extraordinary nature of how young children learn. With the teacher on the other side of the screen, how can we engage parents to become co-researchers alongside the teacher-researcher? Participants will learn the many benefits parents naturally have to become co-researchers and how this role enriches parenting and teaching.
